Klaus Reitberger - Concept and skript
Theatermaker and author, city councilor, and cultural commissioner – the native of Kufstein, Klaus Reitberger, wears many hats in his hometown. When the physicist and philosopher was asked to create a narrative for the Light Festival at Kufstein Fortress, he knew immediately that he didn't want to impose an artificial story on the castle; reality, he believed, was fascinating enough.
From his progressive spirit emerges the castle as a timeless observer, a compassionate witness to the centuries. It tells of the changes that have unfolded in the city and the surrounding countryside; of war and peace, sickness and healing, ignorance and education, culture and nature. In doing so, it offers people hope, confidence, and an emotional beginning to the new calendar year.

Regina Lemnitz - Voice of the castle
Science fiction fans know her as the voice of Guinan, alongside Captain Picard aboard the Enterprise, or as Maz Kanata in the new Star Wars trilogy. Those who enjoy comedies will remember her as the singer Doloris in the blockbuster "Sister Act." Unforgettable are also the lead character Celie Johnson in Spielberg's masterpiece "The Color Purple" or Molly Brown on the sinking Titanic.
All these cinematic characters, portrayed by Hollywood giants like Whoopi Goldberg or Kathy Bates, share not only the fact that the German voice actress Regina Lemnitz has lent them her voice but, most importantly, they exude wisdom and trust. Regina Lemnitz is, therefore, the perfect choice to give a voice to the castle as a compassionate witness of the centuries and an empathetic companion to people.

Johannes Berger - Organist of hero's-organ
The Hero Organ resonates every day at 12:00 noon across Kufstein and, under suitable weather conditions, its sound can be heard all the way to neighboring Bavaria and up to the peaks of the Kaisergebirge. With its 4,948 pipes, it is the largest free-standing organ in Europe – to skillfully play such an extraordinary instrument, one requires an equally extraordinary musician.
Johannes Berger, the custodian of the Hero Organ Kufstein since 2009, more than meets this challenge. The organist is a laureate of national and international competitions and serves as the conductor and harpsichordist of the Baroque orchestra Concerto München. Furthermore, he possesses a unique ability to harmonize the visual tales of the castle with the highlights of musical history.
